5 Minutes with ... Fitz + Michelle of New England Runner

Robert Fitzgerald (Fitz) and Michelle Le Brun publish New England Runner, a regional running magazine which, and we quote, “has been covering young and old, fast and slow, in the six New England states, NY and beyond since 1983.”

Fitz and Michelle purchased the magazine in 1998. Their endless enthusiasm has taken them to running events around the world.

We caught up with Fitz and Michelle at BHZ last week as they helped get things ready for the annual BHZ 5K on Sunday, August 29th.

Barrel House Z just made a great new hire! Meet DeJa Stone, the newest member of the BHZ team. She is compassionate, hardworking and already proving to be a powerhouse for the sales crew. She isn’t afraid of competition or making her voice heard. We are excited to see what DeJa will accomplish in the future.

Thom is a pretty recent BHZ hire. He only been on the production floor for about five month, but we’d be lost without him.

5 Minutes with Thom Doggett. Packaging beer is Thom’s domain. At BHZ, canning days are a long, pretty much solo affair. It takes a tough mindset to can beer by yourself all day. Thom tackles every day with gusto, always looking for ways to improve our process. Never letting a slight hiccup derail his plans. Thom has also started to learn how to operate in the cellar, and will be doing double duty between packaging and cellaring.
