In 1986, 22 year-old Russ Heissner travelled from California to Boston with just the clothes on his back, a skateboard, and a guitar to become the first brewer at the, now famous, Harpoon Brewery. 30 years later, said brewer founded Barrel House Z.
Don’t let our relaxed neighborhood vibe fool you. Our small-batch craft beers are the culmination of decades of brewing expertise. We believe the best beer comes from exceptional ideas and ingredients and is guided by rigorous technique.
We are proud to be a part of the Weymouth, MA community, offering an inclusive neighborhood taproom and event spaces to celebrate friendships, special occasions, local businesses, and life on the South Shore.
HOUSE CALL
House Call is our monthly subscription club. Members receive a case (24 cans) of BHZ beer delivered to their house on the first week of each month. Members can also reserve new releases for their monthly shipment, prior to them being available to the public.
